Friedrich Ossenberg-Schule GmbH + Co KG (FOS), one of the leading specialists for wind suction safety in Europe, is exhibiting at DACH+HOLZ in 2018. The international major fair for the roofer trade takes place from 20 to 23 February in Cologne. In hall 6 at booth 6.325, FOS presents the new ClipHOLSTER and the extension of its wind suction calculation program FOS WindCHECK, beside its comprehensive product portfolio, to interested trade experts.
The FOS ClipHOLSTER® is a mobile belt holder for FOS clips on magazine storage. It simplifies and accelerates the usage of the clips during storm securing; it also reduces the risk of injury. The practical assembly helper is comprised of high-quality and durable polyoxymethylene.
Reduction of assembly time by up to 25%
On the roof, the new magazine storage simplifies the assembly of the clips; the reaching distance of the holster accelerates the process significantly. In practical tests, a time saving of up to 25% during the assembly of magazine clips together with the ClipHOLSTER was calculated. Empty magazine strips can be replaced quickly and easily.
Which clips may be used?
The sidelock clip 409®-2, the head-sidelock clip 453-2 and from January 2018 onwards, the head-sidelock clip 492®-2. In the second half of 2018, the sidelock clip 456®-2 shall follow, in time more FOS clips stored on plastic strips will become available.
Professional wind suction calculation extended by roof penetrations
„So that the roofer can determine the number of required clips for storm securing even better, we have extended the wind suction calculation program,” says Jan Kaemper, manager of the company. „It is now possible to position even roof penetrations like dormers and chimneys on the roof surfaces and include them in the calculation. The workers profit from this in two different ways: the fitting pattern shows them how to secure around roof penetrations and the number of clips is reduced e.g. for windows and their area. Furthermore, not only the roof structures duopitch, monopitch, tent and hip can be calculated, but also the more complex roof structures half-hip, mansard and T-roof as well as angle structures and three-gable structures.”
In Europe, FOS is one of the leading manufacturers with over 100 years of experience on the market and in fastening and storm securing of small-format roofing materials of roof and facade. Clip types are offered for the fastening on roof and facade, for the application on special roof areas like roof ridges or verges and for the application of special shapes of pans like flat roof tiles. The mobile roof tools FOS WindCHECK
, FOS ClipCHECK
and FOS CombiCHECK
accelerate and simplify the storm securing on pitched roofs. Application videos and installation instructions extent the offer for workers.
