FOS at the DACH+HOLZ 2024

Collated storm clips and online tools simplify storm protection

FOS DACH+HOLZ Storm? For sure! The company Friedrich Ossenberg-Schule GmbH + Co KG (FOS®), manufacturer of storm clips for wind suction protection on pitched roofs, will be exhibiting at DACH+HOLZ 2024. The leading international trade fair for the roofing trade will take place in Stuttgart from 5 to 8 March. In Hall 6, Stand 6.214, FOS® will be presenting its innovative range of magazine-mounted storm clips and digital tools for calculating wind suction, which simplify work on pitched roofs.

Matthias Bayer, Sales Manager at FOS®, emphasises the importance of the trade fair: "DACH+HOLZ offers us a unique platform to make direct contact with the installers of our products. We are looking forward to exchanging ideas and presenting our magazine-loaded, time-saving staples. Our focus is not only on product presentation, but also on demonstrating our extensive range of services. Our digital tools, which are available free of charge, are designed to save roof trades time, effort and costs."

Collated storm clips - simplified handling
One of the main topics that FOS® will be presenting at DACH+HOLZ 2024 is magazine-loaded storm clips on plastic strips. Each strip contains 25 staples and is designed for use in the FOS ClipHOLSTER®. This collation simplifies removal and significantly reduces the risk of injury. The clip holster, which is worn on the belt, significantly speeds up the installation process on the roof and facade by keeping the clips to hand, thus enabling faster roofing. The installation time can be reduced by up to 25 % with this system.

Digital calculation tools - precision and efficiency
To fulfil the requirements of the technical rule in Germany and the Eurocode, FOS® offers various online tools at The FOS WindCHECK® calculation programme makes it possible to select the right type of clip and provides important information on the fixing pattern, area division and number of pieces required. The FOS ClipCHECK® product finder identifies suitable clips for each object, while the FOS CombiCHECK® reverse search enables the possible uses of existing clips to be identified.

Storm protection for PV systems - training made easy
Photovoltaic systems make an important contribution to the energy transition. On pitched roofs, they are exposed to heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and storms. Storm protection with weather-resistant metal storm clips is therefore necessary to reduce the risk of damage to property or personal injury. Information on wind uplift resistance for roofs with on-roof or in-roof systems is also available at booth 6.214.
