FOS ClipHOLSTER® field test

Lipfert, a roof installation company, was trialing the Clipholster

Audio file:

Lipfert, a roof installation company, was trialing the Clipholster in early March. The roof of a single storey house in Bad Lausick was covered with the Creaton tile Visio on 40 x 60 battens. Securing the coloured flat tile was carried out with the sidelock clip 409®-218 according to the wind uplift calculation. The laying pattern was 1 : 2 in the verge and eaves area.

The roofer Marcus Gräfe who tested the FOS ClipHOLSTER® works primarily right-handed. He attaches the holster to the belt on his left side, so he can take the clips out of the strip with his left hand. He then uses the hammer in his right to nail the clip into the batten. Being skeptical to start with and after the initial adjustment to his work practice, his feedback is positive: "With the clip holster and the collated strips, the whole process goes much faster compared to having to fish the clips out of the box", he concludes.
