The production machine for making roof clips, which has now been placed in the entrance area of FOS®, is over 80 years old. The restoration of the so-called "drawer machine" made of cast iron was carried out as part of a project completed by our apprentice. Sarah Schulte-Kalthof, a budding metal worker and industrial mechanic in her 2nd year of training, reassembled the oldie with the help of photos and the support of her supervisor and colleagues. Initially the piece was sandblasted and cleaned. The drawer machine is a valuable piece of company history and a testament to the longevity of FOS® and the production of storm clips. Management and staff are pleased that our team has repaired this piece of living history for future generations to come. And we are all very proud of our very talented apprentice!
