At FOS we are committed to ensure your privacy is protected, which is why we have drawn up a Privacy Policy that explains how we handle and protect your personal data when you use our services online. Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and any changes will be posted on our website. This privacy policy applies to all users of our website.

Who is responsible for your personal data?

What type of personal data do we collect?

We collect personal data which you supply, e.g. during account registration, downloads, wind uplift calculation, or product search.

How do we use your personal data?

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to set up and manage your personal FOS account
  • to answer any queries you may have and to send you notifications
  • to send you information material
  • to send you surveys that provide you with the opportunity to influence our offers and services
  • to prevent misuse or incorrect use of our services

We will keep your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above or for as long as we are required by law. After this your personal data will be deleted.

What are your rights?

You have the right to request information about your personal data at any time (free of charge once a year). If your data is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, we can correct or remove them upon request. Removal of data is not possible in cases such as legal obligations (eg. accounting requirements) or other legal reasons requiring data retention (eg. outstanding claims).

How do we protect your personal data?

We have taken technical and organisational measures to protect your data from loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. We continually adapt our security measures in line with technological progress and developments.


A cookie is a small text file that is saved to and, during subsequent visits, retrieved from your computer or mobile device. FOS uses cookies to ensure ease of use for your visits. We do not use cookies to store personal information or disclose such information to any third parties.

There are two types of cookies: permanent and temporary (session cookies). Permanent cookies are stored as a file on your computer or mobile device for up to 12 months. Session cookies are stored temporarily and are cleared when browser closes. We use permanent cookies to store your choice of start page and to store your details if you select "Remember me" when you log in. A permanent cookie is also stored on your computer for 90 days if you select the "Convenient Login" function when registering. We use session cookies to check whether you are registered when you use our product finder or wind uplift calculation service or when you download information.

You can easily erase cookies from your computer or mobile device using your browser settings. To find out how to handle and delete cookies please look under "Help" in your browser. You can disable cookies or receive a notification each time a new cookie is sent to your computer or mobile device. Please note that if you choose to disable cookies, you may not be able to take advantage of all our website features.

Third-party cookies

We use third-party cookies to collect statistics in consolidated form through analysis tools such as Google Analytics and Core Metrics. They include both permanent and temporary cookies (session cookies). The permanent cookies are stored on your computer or mobile device for no longer than 24 months.
